You may have noticed 'make more competitive starters' on Mystery Man's to-do list.  Here's the weird part... it's actually happening! Next Friday we're going to start giving them out to new users, and in the Starter Switcher.  The priority was to make the Files ACTUALLY PLAYABLE, and we weren't afraid to bend a few of the normal starter rules to do so. Other fun facts:

 -It will be possible for a user to get all 4.

 -We buffed some Cards to make balanced files

If you (or someone you know) has had one of the following bugs:

 1) create a new account, but can't reach the game proper (infinite loading)

OR

2) create a new account, and everything works fine the first time, but when you log out and back in, you can't reach the game proper (infinite loading)

This bug has been fixed.  It turned out to be a bug in the registration process, not the game. If you make a new account now, it should work fine.  However, accounts made recently that already 'have' the bug, those bugged accounts still won't work (since they were improperly registered in the system).  Please contact SUPPORT with the title 'New Registration Bug Fix' and we'll see if we can fix your account manually, or otherwise make it right.

We promised some free winter avatars if we got a bunch of shares on Facebook, and then our intrepid customer service chief, thatdave, posted on Facebook that the avatars would be "new" if we got to 750 likes by today.  We actually reached our goals by the end of last weekend, but who's counting?

You're counting, though... you're counting on free avatars.  And once again, GGG has come through with something adorable... and covered in blood.  You'll just have to head over to the AVATAR SHOP and see for yourself!

I know I said it would be for one day, but I want to give everyone a chance, so they'll be up through Saturday. 

Anyone here remember the Faction packs?  My first experiment in new packs that made it easier for Iczers to build the Files they really wanted to play is still a good one.  Sure, you all are full of Set 11-ness and have plenty of other recent cards, but what about the fundamentals from earlier sets?  Wouldn't you like an inexpensive way to score those core cards?  The faction packs are exactly that, and their rates and price have more than stood the test of time. 

Without further ado, I'll announce the following classic Faction Packs for this Friday, the 16th.  Mermaids, True God Church, Undead and Pixies. The will be in the shop for one week.

Faction Packs have 10 cards, a tiny card pool, a guaranteed 3-star, and a cap of 3 of one card (as in, you'll never get more than 3 of a kind in one pack), all in one pack for 200 Gran.  It doesn't get any better than that!

Everyone should have their weekly ranking gran by now!  It was 2 Gran for every win, 1 Gran for a Draw, and 0 Gran for a loss!

Set 11 is getting a VERSION UP!  If you've been around the site during the GP year, you know that Version Up (in English) is used in Japan to indicate some change, generally for the better (or something like a buff).  But no, we're not buffing Set 11, instead we're giving this Set the one thing it's missing...

A recycle value!  That's right, we're going to liquidate the free, 0 Gran versions of the cards from the server and replace them with full fledged gran value cards with little stars on them denoting their rarity and everything.

But does that mean we're taking away your free Set 11?  Yes!  I mean, NO, just kidding.. put down that knife.  Please?  No?  Well, hold onto the knife a little longer if it makes you feel better, but hear me out.  Everyone will be able to get three copies of the new, Gran-value Set 11 with relative ease.

We're going to handle this the way we handle everything, with a duel! Or rather, ten!  Kind of like a super-duper 5 of 7, where you battle X times in a week and get a card, only now you get 60.  Here is how you get your 3 copies of Gran-value Set 11 cards.

1st copy -- Own any number of the 'free' version of the card.  You all should have this for every card by now.  If not, you have until tomorrow night to get them from the shop!

2nd  copy -- Play ten or more battles that go ten turns or more between Monday the 12th and Sunday the 18th.

3rd copy -- Play ten or more battles that go ten turns or more between Monday the 19th and Sunday the 25th.

And what  if you're busy one of those two weeks?  Out  of town for the great pancreas race?  Well, if you do 30 or more battles on either week, we will give you both copies as well.  (always a maximum of 3 total).  And what if you're out of town both weeks?  Well, then you'll just have to BUY them when I put them in the shop like everyone else!!! So maybe you're wondering what's with the hoop jumping for something you already have, but don't underestimate the importance of what you're getting out of this.  Having a large amount of Gran value in recycle value (180 cards worth)  gives you unprecedented flexibility. If there are cards you don't use, you can use their recycle value to buy the next EX Set (probably in its entirety with little effort) or an earlier Set you missed, or whatever you want.  It's a brave new gran-valued world!

Now, I know you crazy kids are always with the Facebooking, the Liking and the clicking and the linking. I suppose it's time for ole Alteil to see what it can do to Book a little Face.  So, I'm going to request that you give the main Alteil America facebook page a SHARE (click on the button to the right of 'like' on Facebook and hit - share) to see how hard it is to get these darned 'share' things and what kind of effect they have on our trafficking. 

I guess this means I should be giving out a gift, one of those 'social media presents' I keep hearing about  (yeah, I know that was unacceptable, even for me -- and I'm totally sure I'm the first person to come up with that). So, if we get 15 users giving the Alteil America facebook page a share by the end of next week, I'll put a couple of the WINTER AVATAR ACCESSORIES up in the Avatar shop for free for the day!
