A little while ago, I was asked to make a promotional bento (lunch box) video for "Create a video of you building the Google Chrome Icon" event by Google, and it launched today.
My video (called "Bento") is on the main page, and also on "See users' entries so far." They
wanted to have a couple of submissions by real users as examples for
their event. The domino guy and I are the only regular users at this
point, and the other videos were created by Google employees. And this is me making Google Chrome Icon bento!
It's not a contest, and I'm not asking you to vote or anything, but I thought I'd share it with you. Anyone can submit their video for this event, so if you're interested in making Google Chrome icon, go for it. If you're just interested in making bento, check out my bento blog! -AnnaTheRed |

It's been a while since I updated my blog, and this is why.
I've been hungry. What would taste better than Castle Crashers rice balls, and Barbarian hamburg? (Japanese style hamburger) Rice balls and meat balls shaped like animal orbs. I know Castle Crashers isn't a new game, but Dan at the Behemoth was nice enough to post my Castle Crashers bento (lunch box) on the dev blog. Seems like their new game is coming out soon, and I just can't wait! I make food when I'm not working on Alteil. Check out my bento blog at http://annathered.wordpress.com/ |

So, we had our first convention this year without Lupos. And we learned what could happen if we were Luposless...
1.
Edgar might take our expensive lighting kit apart, saying "Come on,
this is the only way to do this." (He used to work at a major
electronics retailer.) (This piece he's holding, shouldn't come off.)
2. We could be given broken Internets. 3.
It might take three of us (instead of one Lupos) to put the booth in
the case. Also, we might fail three times (or more) and call Lupos for
help. Lesson learned. We didn't like being Luposless too much. :D
I'll put more pictures from NY comicon later! |

Here's my contribution to Alteil community. Unlike EdgarFigaro, who apparently didn't draw that hand turkey by himself, I put my hand on the monitor and traced it with my left hand using a mouse on photoshop. I always wear my armor ring, so I drew it on my hand turkey. And I also have Gowen symbol branded on the palm of my hand, so I drew that too. If you're a Gowen player, you may snatch this drawing off from this site at free of charge for unlimited time. If not, play Alteil at least 3 times to grab this. Click on the picture to download the full size image of my hand turkey. (878 x 848) |

It's Wednesday! (almost over, but it's still Wednesday in NYC) That
means it's my turn to blog.
So yeah, some people may know that I make
kyaraben (character bento = lunch box with food shaped like anime
characters and animals and such) as a hobby. I posted my very first
kyaraben looong time ago on this blog, but let's just forget about it.
(because it was hideous!) Anyway, this is more for Alteil crowd, I
think. This was on Kotaku a while ago, so some might have seen it, but I
couldn't find a good picture to top GGG's kitty picture today.(I
realized that all my kitty pictures are actual photos. Not digital.
Yeah, I'm old, and so is my kitty. :P) Anyway, Happy Belated New Year
to fellow Iczers! May this year be the greatest year for Gowen!

Okay, so I've started blogging and already skipped it twice. Well,
for this Alteil blog, I was going to post the pictures of bento that
I've made in the past, but I'm going to post a picture of a bento I
made this morning. I don't think I have to say what this is... (because I can't write what it is)
I've been translating like a maniac. English text into Japanese.
It's a change of pace and was a bit refreshing at first, but it's just
taking soooo long. Man, Japanese is hard... I think that's probably
because I'm Japanese. Does that makes sense? Imagine trying to explain
what the "past perfect progressive" is to a Japanese person. Not
exactly the same, but it's kind of like that. Here's another shot with orange! If you're into eating, you may visit my bento blog, AnnaTheRed's Bento Factory. |

I've been meaning to do this blog for the past 3 months, but now
Alteil has gotten in the way,,, Darn that game for being so much fun! :P Anyway, better late than never, so I'll start blogging today. My
life isn't as exciting as Lupos' or EdgarFigaro's, but I've been into
making bento ("lunch box" in Japanese) recently, and I'm actually
having a lot of fun with it. This is my first attempt to make "something" with food.
Yes, it's an overweight Totoro, and looks like he's about to cry. I made this exactly two months ago, and I've gotten better now. (I think) I'm so embarrassed by this bento that I wasn't sure if I really wanted to post it. But
whenever I look at it, it always makes me realize that "if you suck at
something, keep doing it. You'll get better at it eventually!"
Totoro body: Rice (brown part is rice mixed with bonito flakes and soy sauce)
Food around Totoro: Left over noodles, broccoli, egg, fish cake sausage
