Yeah if you sign up as an alternate and don't expect to play you're signing up with the wrong mindset.

Ok, to be clear, i'm ready to play.

my point was, alts were exhausted and then some... points at 2 issues actually:
1. turn-out rate
2. getting "hot blood" to join

I have no ideas on how to address those issues, but its worth pointing out.

Turn out rates are expected to be low, that's why hosts are required to have 20% of expected participants as alternates.

We will double check the votes at the end, of course. Yes, you can abuse the system but in most cases it will be painfully obvious when someone does.
