No insult at all! But I must tell you that if you liked the movie, you'll be amazed at how good the book is. Pure genius! My mom read it to me when I was a kid, years before the movie came out.

Debatable in this case. While I really enjoyed the book I think the movie did an amazing job of conveying the story as well as the whole story being told angle. Though I did read the book after watching the movie so I already had the characters in my mind. Either way, both are excellent.

I agree with Lupos that the book is indeed awesome. If nothing else I think for Fezzik and Inigo's backstory. I used to read just those two stories over and over again.

The Princess Bride may be one of the best stories EVER, I know as a movie its one of my all time favorites, probably even top 3. This topics making me want to go to the library and take out the book.
